“Fotopatki” (objects)“If
I think of my childhood in Poland, I can’t remember anyone who was
not native to my local environment. I grew up with Polish children despite
living in a big city. As with my peers, I knew little of different cultures,
languages and traditions outside of my homeland. In contrast the past is
now, due to the political and economical influences afforded me through coming
closer to other nationalities and cultures. Art opens the way for me to meet
with people from different parts of the world. What was difficult to embrace
is now obvious and familiar.”In what kind of a world have we as children
grown up? To answer this question Gosia Hejnat receives photographic documentation
from artist-colleges. This material is of the childhood of artists from different
nationalities and cultures, they migrated in the other places of the world
and live there as “stranger” now. Through these influences Gosia
    Hejnat created her Assemblage’s.
