crying and running all over shouting for peace, asking for food aid and
good shelter. WAR!
this brought to mind some reasons why a person or a group of people will
want to migrate.
why will one leave his or her country is a question I ask?
I am interested in the issue of war the extent to which it causes citizens
to travel to other environments hoping to find better environment of peace.
Construction of a box with plywood with measurements of approximately 8ft
high and the outer square of 40ft wide. this measurement can change depending
on the given space.
Inside of the box will be paintings of abstracted flags of various countries
fixed or pasted on the entire surface.
Printed out names of experienced war countries and ongoing war countries
will either be printed on the outer surface of the box or will be fixed on
the surface with used bullets or nails.
outside the box will be 4 to 6 stretched thread crossing each other from
one point to the other with inscription of safe journey written in different
languages.
performance
there will be a performance by the artist who will dress in the costume of
a refugee walking out of the box. with background sound of shooting which
will be played over and over.
